Hey everyone!

What have I been up to for the past month? Well, after the school graduated in mid-June we had a bit of debrief for a week. Myself and Kat (my previous outreach co-leader) and I went on a bit of a holiday for a couple weeks. We visited Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast. It was a blast! Lots of sun, and God encounters 🙂 We got back a couple weeks ago and since then we have been busy getting ready for our next school. I also had my birthday and turned 24! Crazy!

Our new school is starting on Saturday! All the students are coming in tomorrow! We have 17 girls and 4 guys from all over the States, Canada and Europe. Our staff team is growing as well. There are now 15 of us total. 9 are directly involved in the DTS Lecture Phase, 6 of those are leading outreach teams, and 6 are running Base admissions/accounts/maintenance/kitchen etc.

 

I am involved with Lecture and Outreach phases this school! As Lecture Phase staff I will have 3 female one-on-ones, be co-leading a small group of 6 girls, marking/assessing homework and student growth, attending lectures with the students, facilitating ministry times, leading weekly evangelism nights, attending Prayer meetings in the city, teaching (I actually get to teach this coming week for a couple hours on Biblical Foundations on Worship), and lots and lots of prayer! Please be praying for the Lord to completely transform and affirm these students! They are so excited and are so in need of His identity and a deeper intimacy with Him!

During the Lecture phase I will also be preparing for Outreach Phase. I’ll be co-leading a team for 7 weeks! Location and co-leader announcement will be in a couple weeks when the teams are formed and the students know where they are going. Right now, myself and my co-leader are creating budgets, schedules, risk assessments, guidelines etc, and also brainstorming about Outreach Prep nights which are once a week with our team. Please be praying for our Outreach Teams as we prepare and get hearts for these nations we will be ministering too. Pray also for us as leaders that we would continue to be bold! We’ve been reading through Acts and AH! I want to be like Paul! I’m so excited to get to watch these students step out, and I want to continue stepping out as well. The Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead is inside me! Yes!

I also will be working with our Base Training Director as Worship Coordinator. I’m not entirely sure what it entails yet (I just started doing that this week). I believe it will include organising outside worship opportunities and getting teams together to help serve in the community. We’ve already been asked by a local church to send a worship team there once a month! It is exciting! I am getting more and more of a heart for Toowoomba every week! We’ve been getting out into the community a lot more as well! Please be praying for a more permanent way of transportation. Currently, we have none except a couple of staff have cars. It is extremely hard to organize things for students in town when we have such limited modes of transport. The walk to town is about an hour so it is possible, but when carrying gear and such it’s obviously not ideal. 🙂

 

Here’s the big news!

I have been asked to stay for the coming January school to be School Leader! That means that during the school I will be working with our Training Director planning for it, processing applications, building the schedule of speakers, logistical stuff, and getting a feel for the direction of the school. As School Leader I will be taking the weight of the spiritual load during the 5 months. As well as being classroom manager, running Orientation, more teaching, and much more pastoral care. This means I am extending my commitment here for another 6 months. Which also means, I am going to come home for about 2 weeks in September because I won’t be able to afford to come home at Christmas. Woo!! Hope to see some of you then! 🙂

… Of His Dreams

This melancholy poem was once the outlook that I had on life, particularly in my own. The nomadic spirit that the Lord has placed on me can occasionally be confused with alienation, isolation, loneliness and a general sense of not belonging anywhere, that is, if perceived through a worldly or non-biblical perspective. It can lead to sadness, depression, self-pity, rejection, and a whole host of other ungodly emotions!

At times, there is this assumption or idea that there is a great cost to being a Mover of the earth and a Shaker of the world. But the more time I spent with my Maker, the more I realized that I was not called to move the earth and shake the world, but He has called me to move His heart. And of course, shaking the earth just so happens to be a natural (or should I say supernatural) by-product of moving His heart.  While this life is not promised to be comfortable, it IS filled with the promise of His abundant love and the love of His people. One thing I’ve learned from world-traveling, is not that I am alone, but that I am in the largest family known to man-kind! Every where I move or go, He is there and so is His body! It is supernatural + phenomenal.

Speaking of moving…. guess what? I’m moving to AUSTRALIA! I know, eh! What?! Haha! Yep, you see, it is a long story. Let’s start where I last left off! In case you missed that, head over to the post titled ‘Surprise’.

Sooo, here goes!

Back in May of 2013, my church offered me a position on their staff. At that time, I had been home for two months and had watched and waited for something. Anything really. It’s very weird for me not to be doing stuff. Lots of stuff. Which, in itself was a lesson straight from the Lord! He started teaching me to live extraordinary in the ordinary. To live loud in the silence. Phewie, that’s a hard one, and boy, am I still learning!

So anyway, back to my church, I accepted the job offer in May and became a temporary Youth Pastor to eight of the coolest kids around. Now, when I said yes, I never ever in a million years saw myself doing the youth pastor thing. I’m not sure why, it was just never on my radar! But I wouldn’t trade these past eight months for anything. I fell in love with my kids! I’ve watched them grow in the Lord, with each other, and in hunger; it’s been awesome. I even got them making music! When we started, there were only two confident musicians. We now have a solid team of two guitars, a piano, a keyboard, an ukelele, a drummer and some nice vocalists! They sound amazing! Honestly, when we started I wasn’t very optimistic, bahaha!

I’ve also been in charge of the worship ministry at the church. I’ve done all the logistics, creativity, encouraging, mentoring, facilitating, and communicating. I’ve been able to witness the worship team expand, help leaders grow into their authority and freedom, and experience some beautiful moments with the Lord and our congregation! Watching our unity grow has been wonderful as well!

That same week I was offered the job at the church, I was approached by a woman who owns a trailer/rv camping grounds with her husband. They were getting on in their years and the physical labour was getting to be too much. She asked me if I would like to work for them. They would give me as many or little hours as I needed, and they’d work around my other commitments. They gave me a bike, as it was only about a 25 minute bike ride from my house. And I’d be working outside doing physical labour and the campgrounds were spectacular. Every single thing about this job was an answer to my prayers, and hers! Did I mention one of my prayers was that my bosses would love the Lord? What an answer! She is a mighty prayer warrior, and it often you’d find her lifting up her voice to the Lord! My favourite times were when we would get together and pray for the campground. Such a precious time of learning and being humbled by this woman’s faith! By the end of the season (there are so many crazy God stories involved with this!) all the campers (most were not Christians) were talking about how much joy and life I had and how I brought a smile to their hearts even on their worst day. Ha! I love how the Lord is so evident even when we don’t have a clue! I was just doing my thing, working away! It was like a puzzle and all the pieces were coming together. He is so faithful eh? When we wait on Him? It’s all in His timing! Back to Australia!

That same week as both job offers, I was looking around on different mission sites just for fun. Okay confession: I had the thought “So I’m single, 23 and can go anywhere in the world, literally…” And I ended up on the YWAM page! I randomly looked up “worship staff opportunities” because once you’ve done a DTS you could potentially staff at any of their bases, and there were about a billion different options. I clicked on several but nothing really made me actually interested… that is until I clicked on the YWAM Toowoomba link! Honestly, I had no idea where that even was. Turns out, it’s in Queensland, Australia!

The base runs a Music & Worship Discipleship Training School (DTS). So I submitted a short form of interest to staff there, and was just expecting an automated response with the costs, commitment length etc. Instead, I got this remarkably long, personal email from the Base Director and his wife, explaining the history and heart of the base, their vision (matched up with my passions exactly), and their need for female staff! Especially those with worship leading experience. They answered most of my questions before I even asked them and they even offered to help with my flight there! WHAT! Almost unheard of! So I freaked out. Showed my parents, my church leadership and some friends. Everyone said, “Well Hannah this is pretty much you to a tee. Jesus. Worship. Travel. Disciple. Dance. Pray (they are in the midst of opening a House of Prayer). Music. Missions. Unreached People Groups. Australia. You will kick yourself if you do not consider this opportunity!” So I prayed and prayed, and so did my leadership and my parents etc. I got several confirmations, so I sent in my visa application (ANOTHER ONE! I will probably end up writing a book on visas for missionaries, haha) and waited! Oh! And not to mention, those jobs that the Lord set me up with enabled me to save a good chunk of the costs of going! Being on staff with YWAM is basically being a full-time missionary, and we have to raise our own support and such. I finished the campground job in November and heard from Immigration a couple of weeks after that, and it’s official! The Australian government granted me a 12 month visa! I am finishing up at the church the 5th, and I will be heading to Toowooomba on January 8th. My director even gave me an extra week because he found out both my sisters are due to have their babies within then next couple weeks! So awesome! Praise the Lord! So, I’ve got a billion other testimonies from these past 9 months being home. But needless to say, the Lord has been at work since day one. Even that day where I the U.S. sent me home and I had no idea what the future would hold! It was all a part of His plan… who knew that it would turn out THIS cool? I never ever thought I would go to Australia. And now, here I am, moving there.

I just wanted to update you guys on my life after I shared my heart 🙂 Haha! So I am currently awaiting the results of visa application. I just completed the most recent step called the Request For Evidence. It should be about a month when I find out whether I’m accepted or not! 🙂 Cool testimony, I got a lawyer!! A couple of my friends from here were trying to help me with my paper work last month (my deadline for the Evidence was last week) and we decided that we couldn’t get any where without a bit of professional help so they started calling lawyers to see if we could get a consultation. They called different ones for a couple weeks and got nowhere. Just when they were about to give up. a lawyer by the name of Lucy Lu (fancy that! :D) answered and decided to give us a free consultation out of the kindness in her heart! She was fully aware that we most likely were not able to afford her services but she was willing to answer questions about my status! So we went to the meeting and the Lord set it up so Pastor Dan (who knows my situation and is very good with words, Gracia (my friend who is familiar with immigration), and Brian (my friend who just in general is very smart and has worked with lawyers before) went with me. I really wasn’t even nervous cuz it felt like I had an army with me! 🙂 It turned out that she was super nice and actually really really cared about her job and clients. She kind of told us what we needed and said basically we could possibly do it without a lawyer but it would be very difficult and a lawyer would help make sure everything is consistent and all the Ts are crossed and the Is are dotted. So we asked her price and she said normally she charges 2000 (which is normal for all immigration lawyers). BUT she really loved the ministries we do and she said she really wanted to help us continue helping people in Atlanta so she lowered her price to 1000. Pastor Dan and I talked about it for a bit and then we prayed and all of us felt the Holy Spirit literally smile, so when she came back in the room we said yes! Then she said she had been thinking while she was out of the room and she felt moved for some reason to lower it again to 750!! The Spirit was so in the room and we all for reals got tears in our eyes 🙂 Her office took care of all my paperwork, and I got everything i needed. There’s actually a lot more cool little testimonies that happened later the last few weeks, but that was the biggest one! So now we’re just waiting again! 🙂 She also offered to help Pastor Dan get a J-1 status so we can get more foreign students on a cultural exchange program for a reduced fee as well!

God is so worthy of our love. Oh man, He is so faithful and beautiful and amazing! How can I not respond in obedience?? It’s His love language after all! He is teaching me that to love Him is to obey Him. It becomes a joy to love Him back. He loves me so much and constantly is proving it in so many ways that I can’t handle it! I want to explode with wonder and awe and excitement at the ways He loves. Phew!! God is seriously the best Lover ever ever ever! Last week, my heart got pretty hurt, but the SAME DAY God proclaimed who He made me and why He loved me over and over again in unusual ways and He healed me the same day. I serve a tender and personal God. Everyday I get overwhelmed by Him. I want you to know Him like I do! 🙂 You would never go a day without remembering His goodness and thanking Him. You move His heart. Let Him move yours!

God is moving in the Atlanta area like crazy! He is showing up in power and might and His glory is becoming known throughout the nations. He has placed a burning desire for intimacy in our hearts and a cry of intercession that He would move and awaken His Bride in the earth. It’s happening! I’ve seen unbelievers come to a worship service and get saved just because His presence was so thick. I’ve seen chains fall off people when they encounter the Person of Christ as His body loves. I’ve seen people receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit just because He decided to move, no one even prayed over them! I’ve seen healings, and demons casted out! He is moving, and I am so excited! God will move when His people pray and catch His vision and will. Everytime we pray for His will He is DELIGHTED to answer! Let Your Kingdom come and Your Will be done Lord here on earth as it is in Heaven! Let heaven come!!!!

I am a full time missionary in Atlanta, Georgia in the Old Fourth Ward downtown. I am also a 3rd year in the Atlanta Dream Center School of Ministry, which includes attending 4 undergrad theology classes a week, doing group and personal projects in the Word and in general gathering oil. I am also assisting the director of the new School of Worship that just started in September. And I also am leading or helping lead worship sets 4-5 times a week. I co-head up an outreach on wednesday nights called Worship On the Streets where we take groups into different parts of Atlanta, whether a park or a homeless shelter or literally a random street corner or really anywhere that needs the atmosphere of God. And we worship the King and lift His name up above every dark name in that specific spot. And I’m discipling/counseling/advising/listening/loving on everybody around me basically all the time. It’s awesome! The love He pours out on me is so I can pour it out on others 🙂

I am so sorry this letter took so long in coming. Really, I have no excuses other than I’m not the greatest at communication 😛 Which I’m sure you already know if you know me! Haha!

I first and foremost want to THANK YOU so incredibly much for your continued support and blessings and prayer and love!! I love walking with you in the Spirit 🙂 You are my family and I love you all so much! I miss you like crazy and hope and pray that I find myself with you again someday soon!

Visa update: I just got another letter from the USCIS. A request for more evidence! A very detailed list of more things I need to send. My deadline is October 25th, and again what they are asking is a little confusing, so any prayers sent up for clarity and supernatural wisdom would be super appreciated! 🙂

Update on life in general: I just officially started my third year and life has been SUPER busy!! Haha I love it! 🙂 All of us just spent a week in Kentucky serving at the National Fine Arts Festival which is kind of like a Church’s Got Talent kind of deal 🙂 So we got to hang out with about 12000 junior and senior high students all week and we saw healings, and kids turning their lives around and people just giving up their lives for the Kingdom of God! It was amazing! Guess what?! I’m going to be the Assistant Director this year of our new Worship School! Super stoked about that! 🙂 I also recently joined the Sunday worship team for the Dream Center! And I’ll be traveling with the Master’s Worship band a bit too! We will be moving into our new dorms in a few weeks, we are completely stoked about that! God has blessed the socks off us for that one!! Basically we got a miracle deal on a  dorm floor in a building near the hospital. The building is renovating and they are putting in a gym, a rec room, a coffee bar area, study areas, and a mail room! We’re going to be sharing with a couple colleges so there will be TONS of ministering opportunities! And they have reserved the roof for us to worship on. Also, God has been moving in our midst, and He is teaching us to reckon (to accept something as certain and place reliance on something) in our hearts His TRUTH! Which is amazing!! What would this world look life if God’s children literally reckoned the FACT (and it IS) that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords has made us a Fathered people? That He hasn’t left us as orphans! (John 14:18) Also that He has transferred us into His Kingdom and placed the fullness of His abundant Life in US! AH! So awesome!! Guys, life wouldn’t be normal. It would be stinkin supernatural. I encourage you to meditate on Romans 8!!! Incredible stuff.

So, this might come as a shock to some… but I believe the Lord has been leading me the last couple months in the direction of preparing to come back to Atlanta as full time missionary this next year and I am taking steps and applying for an R-1 Visa! It is a very complex process and it is taking more faith than I’ve ever had before! BUT I love it, because opportunities to grow with the Spirit are the best 🙂 I also am trusting Him for all of my finances, which I’ve never really had to do before cuz of my awesome parents who trained me well (savings! :P)… I have officially run out of my trusty savings. BUT He keeps providing for me in surprising ways so I know He is in front of me, paving my way for me even if I can’t see it at all! Haha. Anyways, so if this visa works out and all lights are green from the Lord, I will be coming back for at least another year, possibly two. I will be helping Pastor Dan pioneer an International House of Praise! (Ever heard of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City? Well there is another one in Atlanta, it’s actually very large too!) We will be partnering with the House of Prayer in Atlanta but going at things to complete the Throne room picture. In Revelations 5 it talks about the Harp (worship and praise) and the bowls of the saints (the prayers). The prayer side is covered, so Pastor Dan wants to bring about the 24/7 Praise and Worship of the King side. We’re not sure what it’s going to look like, but we’re guessing similar to what the angels are doing in Revelation 5:11-14. Praise and Worship WARFARE over the city of Atlanta, which is an international hub to the USA. I also will be still be traveling across the states leading worship, serving, doing arts, and bringing the Kingdom of God to youth events, nursing homes, school assemblies, churches, homeless shelters, etc! AND I will be attending undergrad classes on the Kingdom 4 days a week and doing many study/research and group projects during. AND I will be leading worship for all of Master’s and quite possibly the Atlanta Dream Center and special events. This year will cost $2,800 and at this point, I am fully walking in faith! haha! Yes! So exciting, I’ve known this day was coming probably since I was 5! 🙂 It’s scary, but it’s gonna be a fun ride He’s told me! 😀

Quick testimony, a couple weeks ago I was looking into my visa and was slightly overwhelmed from it all, and then I found the Filing Fee. $325!!! I actually gave up right there, not gonna lie. BUT one of my fellow students noticed the uhhh… slightly pained look on my face 😛 and decided to ask what was wrong. I told him. And he promptly started asking people around the warehouse for money! Haha I just kind of sat there in shock. 10 minutes later he comes back and says :

‘We’ve got $193!!! we’ll be back!!’

So he goes again and runs into our pastor. They tell him what’s up and he runs into the room and asks me how much I need. I didn’t say anything at first because taking money from people is a serious pride issue for me. He asked again. I still didn’t say anything, actually at this point I was crying already (partly from shock, unbelief, and guilt! oh boy, I have a lot to learn :P) and then he asked again and I finally answered him. Then he asked me how much I had got, Trevor said $193 and then Pastor said ‘Okay, I’ll cover the rest.’ I started pretty much sobbing and then everyone was in the room laughing and hugging me and said, ‘Okay. Now do you believe the Lord can do anything?!’ Needless to say, I said yes. 😀 $325 in 10 minutes from missionaries who are not well off in any way shape or form?!?! Ha the Lord is good!!! 😀 😀

So, some more testimonies of what God is doing!! We went to a Fine Arts Festival in Columbus, Georgia and just served the whole weekend. Fine Arts is an Assemblies of God nation wide high school talent contest kind of thing. So each state has their competition, and then all the finalists go to Nationals. Anyways, we got to participate in Evaluating ( I got to evaluate high schoolers in Worship Dance, pretty cool), room moderating, sound monitering, running scores to the tally room, cleaning, praying for kids etc. It was so cool! We got to talk to many kids and encourage them to do their talents for the Lord instead of the world mindset of getting famous etc. The Friday night we did something we as a travel team had written and directed. It’s called the Worship Experience. It’s quite amazing! I wish we had it taped!!! 🙂 Basically it’s a 10 minute deal. It is a long spoken word in multiple segments, and includes step, dance, singing, and some beautiful original music by us. It builds from just a voice, to stringed instruments, to drums, singing, to screaming and yelling for the Lord, to quiet harmonies, to dance, to step and clapping, and then to bowing before the Lord in silence. The speaking parts introduce each segment quite dynamically! This was my part:

JESUS!!!!!

And at the end, we literally all scream our lungs out His name. PHEW it was powerful. The room was electric with His presence and He was GLORIFIED! oh my. At the end, when we call it out to bow before the throne, the kids all jumped out of the pews and fell to their faces! It was crazy! They were flying to the ground. It was incredible!! The students were crying and Jesus was in that room. I don’t even know how to quite describe it… but that is a little look into one of our services 🙂 Most of those kids were all ‘performing’ their pieces for judges and super scared and may or may not have been doing it for the right reasons, but we were able to give them a look into what it’s like to throw out all inhabitions and thoughts of self and just WORSHIP the KING OF KINGS!! :)) Beauty. Beauty. Beauty.

This weekend we were at a youth service again, and by the end there were so many kids at the altar sobbing and taking up their call to be Warriors in this battle of Kingdoms we were born into. The call to no longer be complacent or let the image of the world overtake you! But to walk in the image the Creator created you for with authority and power. Cuz it’s His authority and His power. We must fight! It says, the gates of hell will not prevail. You know what that means? It doesn’t mean that we sit back and relax cuz hell won’t take us over. It means, We are STORMING the gates of hell and it won’t last long under our pressure. 😀 We fight not against flesh and blood but against the dark powers and principalities of this world. We will not be conformed, but HE forms a NEW mind. HIS new mind! Follow me as I beat my flesh, for I won’t give in til there’s nothing left! That last part is part of a step that God gave to one of our guys. Powerhouse! 🙂 Anyways… I hope you guys are doing well, and I miss each and every one of you very much. Trust me, this road isn’t easy and isn’t necessarily what I would have chosen. But I learning to love the Lord’s will more than mine and to lay down my own life more and more and not pick it back again as often! Ha! SO humbling 😛 I pray that the Lord is blessing you, but I pray even more that He is drawing you and you are seeking Him. To know Him intimately and putting Him in His rightful place. King 🙂 John 18:37.

Cuz the pure in heart sees God and that is my Hearts Desire!! 🙂 Also, for Master’s Commisson students to stay focused on His plan and not their own! And for the Lord to come in strength and power to Atlanta, cuz it is a dark city and it needs the glory and light of God. We’re working on it, but we could always use some extra heavenly stuff! Oh another quick testimony, we have had 17 girls come off the streets since September!! Woohoo! Praise God!! And over 10 kids have gotten baptized through MetroKidz in the past couple months! And there are 3 homeless guys who started coming to the church everyday last month because of our ministry called Compassion Night (they go out to the same places every thursday bringing food and the love and gospel of Jesus Christ) and all three now have jobs and a home! Praise the Lord!

Also, financially… if you feel lead to help me out in that area, I need 2,800 by the beginning of September and I don’t know exactly where it’s coming from right now. I am planning on fundraising through the school this summer (I might have to stay in Atlanta until the visa application in processed and accepted) but if I am able to go home, then I hope to raise money there too by working a job of some sort. Soo, These last two months have been Incredible!! The Lord is awesome!!! He has shown up again and again in glorious ways! On outreach, at the dorms, in the prayer room, in worship. Right now we are going through some testing and stretching in regards to our love for each other and our unity, but He has laid it on a few of hearts to be in deep intercession for that and He is answering our cries!! Love is breaking out again randomly all over!!! For example, this past night a group of 11 of us spontaneously spent over 5 hours specifically speaking the Lord’s heart over each of one in the circle. It was so cool to hear what He was saying to everyone and He put a deeper love in our hearts, and He is replacing our (mine too!!) hearts with His. THAT is my deepest desire right now. To have His heart in EVERY situation!! 🙂 Cool thing is that a common theme from what everyone felt God tell them to tell me, was that very thing! That they saw the Lord’s heart on me and in me and that my love for people was HIS love!! SO AWESOME!! So I know He is definitely working in me 🙂 Praise the Lord!!!

So we just came back from Texas on Monday. We were there for a week, and we did some ministry and went to the Master’s Commission Conference (Desperation Band lead worship, they are amazing and carry the Spirit in stinkin great measures!!). We did some children’s ministry, we taught them dance and stomp and just loved on them 🙂 We also served at a homeless shelter and they loved us!! On Sunday morning we did worship for a new little church and shared with them some arts that really spoke to them. The Lord really moved even though it was a small gathering. I love intimacy :)) 

At the conference I had an incredible break through with dance!! As some may know, I’ve always been super insecure about dancing in corporate worship, even though the Lord has told me a gazillion times through a gazillion people that He wants me to do it anyways because He loves it when I dance with Him, (He actually literally said He missed me!!!!). Anyways, so I actually had stopped dancing for about a year when the Lord started speaking and confirming in random ways He wanted me to dance again (this was in December). Weeelll I kinda ignored it for awhile cuz I’m silly. But I’ve been slowly coming back and I’ll kinda do random spurts when I’m not lead vocals during worship sets. But on Friday night during worship, the band was going ALL OUT worshiping the Lord!! I felt saddened because earlier the crowd was screaming and cheering for a dance contest, but when it came to the Lord, people were just kinda chillin, just singing the words. So I kinda started feeling intense adoration start coming up from deep within, and I wanted with all my heart for the rest of His children to feel the same thing! That they would shout and scream and dance for their King even more wildly than for just humans doing dances, songs, dramas etc. that can’t even begin to compare to the talented angels in Heaven. I couldn’t contain myself anymore and all of a sudden the main singer got off the mic and started playing a really intense war beat on a drum along with the guitarist switching to a violin bow on his electric. And wabAM this was incredible music. You couldn’t help but move, yet NO ONE was!!! One of our students came out of nowhere and said she saw me dancing a kind of battle/tribal dance and I was like now way!!!! There is no room! Plus 1000 people could see me!!! …. At that point, Holy Spirit convicted me and told me to let go of my control and I ran out and found space in the middle of the crowd and bam!! I started interceding on behalf of my brothers and sisters to receive revelation of who our God is! And I was warfaring for them to worship in Spirit and in Truth! All of a sudden, this guy ran up out of nowhere and fell on his face weeping and crying out for the same thing my heart was crying out for. It felt like we were one in battle, me dancing what he was praying. So cool!! And my body started doing moves I’ve only seen and wished I could do! Holy Spirit took over and it was craaazy!! People started worshiping!! I saw others start to dance as well!! It was beautiful!!!! 🙂 I have never danced like that in my life, and I feel like God is saying, that’s just the start, girl 😀 Let me do it for you, and it goes way better! haha!

Anyways… Gotta sign out 🙂 Love you guys!! Will say more soon!! Please be in prayer for the students! That God would be the ONLY thing on our minds, and that His love would invade in great abundance! And pray for finances!! And that I would find my wallet!! :))) And most of all, that He would be glorified in ALL we do!! :))

Standing across the street from an abortion clinic. We were standing in front of traffic lights. Whenever it turned red we got a LOT of attention! Good and bad, it was really cool. We weren’t protesting, just praying and interceding!

Well, now that it is almost Christmas… and I HAVE been meaning to do this for a couple months… REALLY…. I have finally written an update for my lovely friends, fans, family and pets back home in Canada!!! It doesn’t really feel like the Christmas season, as there is no snow and it has been around 15 degrees!!!

Since I wrote those last two sentences, I am now in Tennessee! I’ll be spending Christmas here. I miss Canada, but it’s all good, and the Lord is definitely calling me into an intimate season where I can’t rely on anybody but Him to feel at home! This past week we had a guest speaker from California, Kenny Peavy. He knows Jesus Culture and Brian and Jenn Johnson! Haha he is super cool and flows with the Spirit insanely. He is a worship leader and has been involved with YWAM for about 15 years, he even directed a worship school with them for many years! He was hanging out with the worship team most of the week, teaching us about character and being unified as a team. He also just gave us all so much truth. We did this exercise where we wrote down all of our thoughts that hindered us from understanding how He sees us. Then we asked Holy Spirit to reveal the truth and wrote down all we heard that was opposite of the lie we believed. Then we all went and burned the lies outside and just went crazy with freedom after. It was amazing and everyone was so seriously free! 🙂 I feel like I’ve been cleared of a lot cobwebs and that the freedom that Jesus put in me that’s been buried for a long time is coming back out! I love it.

A couple months ago we did a week of 24/7 prayer in the prayer house. It was super amazing and there was a core group of about 5 that stayed over night every night. There was tons of revelation and freedom that happened there as well. One of the guys got knocked out by the Holy Spirit and if it wasn’t for God he would have cracked open his skull cuz he fell so hard! He said he had never had a vision in his life and the Lord took him flying over the earth and showed him that He was his Father. This guy had never had a dad and he said he didn’t know how to receive love from people or the Lord! The Lord told him not to look at his earthly father for acceptance but that He was his Father all along and he was worthy! His face aftewards was precious, he was absolutely glowing!! 🙂

A team went to Kenya with Pastor Dan again (I went with them last year) and the first day they were there, in Kisumu, something crazy happened!! One of the guys heard a scream during the night and in the morning it turned out to be that next door a mother had been screaming because she found her daughter murdered. A large crowd came and said they needed a witch doctor to tell her who was the murderer. At first she said yes because she was distraught. So they went and paid the witch doctor. When he got there, she came to her senses (she’s a believer) and told him he could NOT enter her house. The crowd got mad and started becoming a mob and wanted the money back that they spent, but she didn’t have any money. They started throwing stuff at the house and beating her. Then for some reason (Jesus) they dispersed and left. Our team went and started encouraging and praying for the lady. While they were doing this, the mob came back! They surrounded them and were getting angry again and Pastor Dan kept praying, and whenever he yelled Jesus they would get confused and eventually it got chaotic and they were fighting with each other and stuff. Pastor Dan said that at one point he thought they were literally about to die, and all of a sudden the military police showed up out of nowhere and got everything under control!! Pastor Dan was in shock because they were in the middle of nowhere in a small village and there was definitely no police there! Anyways, that was cool! Then they were in Mombasa at a mosque debating with muslims (and keep in mind Kenya is under much unrest and apparently Al Qaeda is targeting Americans there!). And this one guy was actually persuaded enough to meet with Pastor Dan several times over the week and kept asking questions! They are still in touch and I think God’s got a hold on him 🙂 There were a TON of healings that happened too!! Many were healed from aids! A tumour shrunk, a baby was healed of sores in her mouth, a woman paralyzed could walk and many more!

I’ve been learning that the power of prayer is unstoppable too!!! This a really cool testimony… my bunkmate, Celara,  has been praying for the Lord to give her a singing voice! Now, she was completely tone deaf and I can attest to this 😀 Anyways… one night we were chilling in our room and she asked me to pray for her, so I did… That night we were all sleeping and the Lord literally opened her ears!! She started singing quietly and woke me up and I was in shock!! She sounded completely different, on tune and everything! The Lord is still working on it and she is getting better every day. It’s craaaaazy!!!

He is also teaching me about intimacy! It is really beautiful and I am completely and utterly falling in love with Him. 🙂 He is showing me so much stuff about myself that I never saw before. Bad and good! The bad is getting purged and my heart is becoming more and more pure and the good is Him. He is good, and He is in me! My voice is actually changing oddly enough! He is expanding it and stretching it! I’m not sure how to describe it, but sometimes when we start going into the prophetic it’s like God is actually singing through me and my voice kinda gets a little lower and louder haha I’m learning from Him how to lead people deeper into His presence too! It actually comes from intimacy and knowing where He is going! All I have to do is follow! A couple first year students that I’ve only known for about 4 months have even commented that my voice is changing and they said it’s becoming angelic!! AH! I can’t wait to see what Jesus does through me. Kenny prophesied that I will be able to see locks in people during worship and God will give me the right keys through song that will unlock them. I’m so excited for that to happen!! I love it when people are freed!

Another really cool thing is being a 2nd year here! At first I didn’t have a one-on-one (mentoring a first year girl) because there were too many 2nd year girls! So I was really bummed because I was looking forward to specifically discipling someone! But anyways… during the first 2 months I prayed that I would kind of become like a mom to all the girls and that He would use me to give wisdom and love. And out of the blue, the girls just started coming to me with their problems or just to get hugs or random things like that! Sooo… I’m gonna back it up a bit to me being on the   Outreach Team. We usually travel a lot and there are no first years on travel til January so normally we as a team don’t get to bond much with them… but for some reasons that the Lord obviously had (although at the time I was kind of not seeing any good reasons) I didn’t end up going on the two biggest trips to Kansas and Arkansas. Anyways, in hindsight it ended up being that during those weeks that everyone was gone except a couple 3rd and 2nd years and all the first years, I got super close to the first years!! And I ended up being available to disciple and mentor them and share a gift that I recently discovered God gave me. The gift of wisdom! So now I am trusted and I get to watch them grow and change from being who they were to being completely and totally new people that are radical to do supernatural things and be pure!! He also taught me a buttload of trust. He knows best! He did so many awesome things in Atlanta that I obviously wasn’t supposed to miss :)) But this next year I will be traveling to a few different states including Texas and Ohio.

Every Christmas the Dream Center does a giant toy giveaway outreach, and this was the biggest year yet! In the last few weeks the Dream Center got over 8,000 toys donated to us from tons of people across the ATL! We (Master’s commission students) sorted and bagged and counted and sorted again! We definitely felt like Santa’s elves! Haha It’s been a fun week. On Saturday we had over 500 volunteers come in to help us deliver the toys to over 2,000 kids in need in the city of Atlanta. We as the outreach team got to perform for the volunteers before we went out! It was hilarious! We dressed up as whos from Whoville and did a dance before the stomp team did the song Mr. Grinch. They thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂

A lot of the students are struggling with tuition, so we took an offering last week and from Master’s Commission (as in us poor students) we raised over 4,000 dollars! These students are making a huge difference in the city of Atlanta and especially in the community of the Old Fourth Ward. From the little kids on the street who have no parents that smile when we love them, to the dope boys who start coming to church and get real jobs from meeting us on the street, to the mamas who’s kids come home happy after hanging out with MetroKidz, to the homeless men and women we give food and prayer too, that decide to travel by foot and bus to get to church to see what makes us who we are. So many cool things happen! If you would like to help support what God is doing down here by prayer, that would be much appreciated!!
